Problem

Partnerships with outside non-profit organizations can offer k-12 schools supplemental programming that enrich students’ educational experiences and can create a foundation of interest upon which in-school teachers can build. However, partnering institutions often find it challenging to navigate the logistic, curricular, and bureaucratic requirements, and schools rarely have the staff to spare to help partners find their way.

Solution

The STEM Ecosystem Partnerships Workgroup proposes to build a STEM supplement to the Philadelphia School District Office of Strategic Partnership’s Partnership Toolkit, to smooth the way for partners and schools interested in growing STEM education, so that more students can access inspiring hands-on STEM experiences in Philadelphia.

Toolkit for STEM partnerships

A comprehensive toolkit for individuals looking to develop STEM partnerships.
